But maybe they were nature walkers? I think most of them were just nature walkers, but they carried rifles and wore orange clothing. I suspect success was not great. Are the National WildlifeRefuges open for this hunt? There were very few cars over there and only one mile away. I have the largest block of cover to the east of the WMA. I am trying to convince myself that this hunt is of benefit. Last evening, we saw 20 deer on the section of land I live on. This section is all private land. Three deer were on the neighbors. The other 17 were on my fields, in the orchard, and in my garden. We saw one deer dash into the woods on the section where the WMA is.

The public land was pretty busy in my area. It was youth hunters, and I’m guessing some doe hunters. I think the pheasant hunters get pushed out.

Four cars on the WMA this morning and not a deer in site anywhere on my drive around.
