My father had a .348 Winchester that was passed on to my brother when he passed. We’re looking to reload the brass casings we have but, need to locate lead for them. Any ideas or leads on them would be appreciated.

It’s a Model 71. He bought it new in 1950. It has a good kick to it. You’d only shoot it twice in a day and your shoulder will feel it It has a Williams peep sight on it. The shells 20 years ago were $4 a piece and my brother can’t find any new ones so he wants to reload. www.americanrifleman.org/content/winchester-model-71/

I would probably retire that Gun and just keep a few shells around for use on an occasional basis.
Is it his primary deer rifle?

My brother has used it the first day of rifle season every year since my dad died but, hadn’t scored with it yet. Some years he gets a deer with black powder so he can’t hunt rifle. He switches to his 270 after the first day.
