So the other day I took my e-bike to the Deertopia Proving grounds......and proved you can road-hunt with an e-nbike. Notice the rifle scabbard attached to the back of the bike. I was testing this camera to see how it worked. . Pretty sweet way to travel around silently and with little motion. Sweet. Wonder if the deer will recognize me as a human??.....they dont when your on horseback......I've ridden right past them in the mountains.....but step off that horse....and they be gone!

A book I have and have read a few times, A Hunter's Road (I believe is the title), about the author traveling around the country w/ his dog and bird hunting. At one point he's hunting grouse in northern minnesota. I think he hunted w/ the RGS and w/ a JPS. The JPS he hunted with rolled around in a car w/ the window down and a shotgun. He dusted the grouse right off the ground. It's a pretty decent read.

So are you fairly happy with this system foggy? I really thought it was a good idea.

So are you fairly happy with this system foggy? I really thought it was a good idea. Yes....I would say that after some initial "white-water" time to set everything up (somewhat of a learning curve for me) that I am quite happy with these cameras. I do think there is some better image quality out there....but I am reasonably pleased with the photos and the costs for this system. One thing I like is a bill of $20 per month for seven cameras. (actually I could go to 24 cameras for $20 / month.). Seven cameras is likely enough to monitor my property through the deer season.....and I will run two cameras via solar power and rechargeable bank of batteries the year around. The "D" alkaline batteries will last about 3 months....enought to get through deer season. What I like is that I never need to pull a card or mess with the cameras in any way for many months. After two weeks if I dont save a picture....it just disappears from the cards to be replaced by new pics. Simple / sweet /Easy peasy.

With all that food you might have a new resident for awhile. My guess it won't be long and a neighbor will be either calling you or on your camera.

There was a truck in the parking lot of the Fargo Holiday Inn selling 20 ribeyes for $40 the other day. The kind of setup where they open all the boxes and show you the meat, and then they start negotiating with themselves to sell u this meat for about $3/lb.
I think this is how they get it.

At least you don't have to burn a buck tag on it.
