I went to a neighbor south of my place....and described the horses (two) from the pics. He said they were his......and he was going to get them back. I went to my place.....when he called and told me they had showed up at feeding time just like always. He was going to fix the fence where a branch had fallen on the wire. End of mystery. Made a new friend with the landowner to the south. .

Got this pic of a couple of bucks....the lighting is bad.....how old is that front Buck? Antler size?? Foggy - You may want to either move a few of your cams down or aim them lower if you feel like you're missing any pics. The Cuddebacks are a bit fussy with aiming. Basically, draw a horizontal line through the center of your pic and that's where you want most deer passing through to be on. I've seen best results at waist high aiming straight out.

^. Thanks SNS. I do think I am missing lots of pics.....as I have tracks all over the place. I put my cameras about 8 to 10 feet high in order to lessen problems from bears and other critters.......but I think your right about how I have them placed.
Not sure if I want to fuss with them a great deal at this time of year ....or just hope for the best. I suppose it would not take much time.........been kind busy with other things till now.
Again....thanks for the tip.....I know I can set these better.

If the bucks are on their feet and cruising food plots at high noon......I'd say the rut is on. (Glad I got my cameras lower....lots of good pics now.)

Unknown-2 (30.63 KB) ^ Just got another pic from that same plot above....but this one shows in color. This plot provides nearly 300 yards of a shooting lane....with pretty nice bedding on both sides. This plot is my largest and runs a bit over two acres. I need to work on adding a few more yards of plot on the far distant end.....or not. . Property has really developed nicely. (edit: The pic would not load. Sorry)
