Isn't there some of that environment though in TX, LA, MS, or AL though that gives you the gulf but also give you some outlet to achieve some work value you want as well. That has to exist in 1 of those spots?

That has to exist in 1 of those spots? For winter warmth on the Gulf of Mexico, you're basically looking at TX or FL. The AL gulf coast is nice in spring, but not so much in winter. The same can be said for the panhandle of FL. You sure aren't going into the Gulf in Pensacola in January. FL is very different climate wise from north to south.

I have to say the scenery change and weather/temperature change in AZ is really incredible from what I thought of Arizona before coming here. 3 hours in either direction and it’s like another planet.

I'd enjoy seeing AZ. Maybe in a few years when my wife retires, we'll take some time and head that way. With limited vaca time for her, she wants to spend it on/near the ocean. When every day is the same, she may be more willing to check out non-ocean states.

FWIW my wife and I plan to go the large 5th wheel route and travel to warmer states Jan-April. You can pick up and go where you want and not be tied down to a single place and also not have to rent/buy. Since we both work from home we may even do it sooner than later. The only thing about this is..... as you get "old" pulling that chit around becomes a chore. The other only thing is that the moment you buy that rig....it is depreciating. After 10 years....it's not very valuable...except for the memories. I know allot of folks that have paid as much as 400,000 for their diesel pusher motorhome, They are pretty nice.....but not in any way a good "investment". I have not lost any money on buying real estate. I like city water, sewer, wi-fi and cable without the hassles of setting all that chit up every day. Still....I know there is adventure in the RV life. it's got far less allure as you get older. Just saying. As you get old driving a car can become a chore. I swear to God that if I wasn't a keenly aware defensive driver, we would have been involved in multiple car accidents last year in FL. Old people suck at driving. Put 1000s of them in the same area and it gets pretty ugly. Back when I lived in WI, we knew a couple who retired and bought a motorhome. It was a high end unit, built on the same frame as a Greyhound bus. As I recall, it was right around $300K. He ended up having to go back to work to keep the thing on the road (high maintenance costs) and to pay for their traveling. Then he died of a heart attack at 63. His widow took a soaking on getting rid of that thing.

I’m sure it will be annoying!☺️ Total zoo around here . It can be a total zoo in Phoenix as well. But where Freeborn and me are at, now that construction is done on our blocks, it’s pretty quiet.

From a real estate perspective everything seems to be about 50-100k overpriced in this area? Who knows ? Still a lot of construction in the area.
