Looking for a good durable toolbox I can mount to a tractor that will hold pins and chains ready to go. Any suggestions?

You still go over there much? You can try to google your tractor model....followed by tool box mount....followed by TMN forum....and usually find some ways to do things. I made one for my old JD790 that was quite nice. now I just tuck tools here and there.....but I did make one nice one using the hollow tube in my loader frame. I'm still searching for a better way. I do go to TBN at times....but there are too many idiots these days. Most of the dedicated go to Green Tractor talk or Orange Tractor talk. I got booted from Orange TT for disagreeing with the moderator.....and never went back. I called the Mod a "fan-boy"....and that didn't sit to well. Grin. Can you imagine ME being disagreeable? LMAO...LOL. .

The hollow tube on the loader frame works slick for tow rope's larger tools and such. Pins and smaller tools chances are you won't get them out. I made one out of wood for my tractor when I had it. Biggest problem like Foggy said is finding a place to mount it.

Cab or no cab? We always bolt one to the fender for tools, chains lay on the floor under your feet/seat. Go to your local school and have a kid make a custom metal one in Ag class.

I'm not sure what you are looking for but I would like a toolbox on my tractor but I want to be able to remove the box and take it into my shop. That way I can add or remove tools on my bench. I don't have a cab so I am thinking of designing something that would attach to the ROPS and hold the box mostly over the fender.
My plan was to design the base out of treated wood, bolt it to the ROPS and then use quick clips to attach the box to the base. Once I got the base and box I want I can paint the hole thing the color of the tractor. You could make the base very sturdy and even use bushings set into the wood if your worried about the wood cracking. If you built something by hand you could have the toolbox sitting out of the way and where you want. If you can weld you could also do this in metal.

My favorite all time movable tool box is a 5 gallon bucket, or one of those canvas jobs. Mount a tray that one of those sets in?
