I think we've had this discussion before, but I couldn't find it.
For working in the woods, doing some spraying/cultipacking, and as a "daily driver" does a guy really need to step up to the Grizzly? It appears the Grizzly sits a little higher and wider and goes faster more quickly. Are those the major differences?
At 6'4" 250ish lbs. would I regret the lower sitting Kodiak?

I weighed the two and went with the Kodiak. My son has a Grizzly, and I like the lower profile of mine. With fairly tame aftermarket tires and a receiver hitch, it does all my land projects quite well.

Kodiak is easier for me to climb off and on all day I think. I like mine.
Average day of food plotting with an ATV is better than a gym workout. The workout looks like this.
1. 75 sling the fertilizer bags. 2. 100 get on the ATV. 3. 100 get off the ATV. 4. 10 straighten out the GD harrow. 5. 10 Kick the tow behind spreaders. 6. 25 empty the 50LB bag 7. 20 pick up the log . . . .

Kodiak does not have 4 wheel drive. Front diff does not lock.
If i recall kodiak does not have hi low tranny.
Not big deals but good to factor in.
There was something else but it escapes me. I ended up with a suzuki that has everything the grizz had at a lower price than a kodiak.

I pretty much run it in low 90% of the time, I'm going so slow.

The 2022 Kodiak 700 EPS has a 3 way locking differential, 2WD, 4WD, and locked 4WD. It also has high and low gears.

Ahhhh So what the hell are the differentiaters now between kodiak and grizz?? From what I can tell the Grizzly is quicker, faster, and more fun for trail riding. There's a 2022 Kodiak 700 EPS about an hour away from me listed at $9499 (not including tax, etc.) I probably won't go pick that one up, but I'm leaning towards getting one at some point in the relative near future. I'm just deciding on whether I wait for my old one to take a crap before buying a new one or not. edit..FWIW I've looked for a new King Quad within a 60-90 minute drive a good number of times over the last 18 months or so. I have yet to find a single one.

Oh power steering? That was a grand to upgrade 2 years ago.
Man. I just want a basic atv.power steering is so not needed for me.
Its like a truck. I need cruise control, ac, cloth seats and a few small creature comforts. Not a tv screen in my dash!!!

I couldn't imagine not having it in a Ranger. My old atv obviously doesn't have P.S. and it's done just fine for me. That said, having it would make turning when spraying foodplots much easier.

My take. The little use an atv gets. I can turn it under my own power. If i was trail riding or using it many hours year. Yeah. Might be cool. I use the king quad maybe 15 to 20 hours a year. The grizz about the same( grizz is my snow plow atv and home rider) Or another anlogy my dad etched in my brain many years ago... Its just more shit to repair with all the added gadgets. Yea... i have old school values. I admit it.
