Lots guys buy the seed and skip the fertilizer. Works okay with clover and grains.

Already paid $40 for a bag of 9-23-30 or w/e the hell it was. Not looking forward to the rest this summer.

Didn’t buy any last year and don’t plan to this year. Clover and grains are my main thing.
I planted two half plots of brassica last year. The one planted on old clover did well. The other did not. I plan to up my clover game for future brassica without fertilizer.

I'm skipping corn this year and going with all soybeans so no Urea. I also typically amend my soils heavy so I only amend every 2-3 years. I should be good this year without any amendments and next year I will soil test and decide at that time what I want to add.

Half my plots will be beans and I made ammendments late last sur so I won't have to do any thing with them. The other plots will need fertilizer and I will put down what is needed.

As much as needed. The prices did not impact my plans this year. Just forking out more money.
