You guys are definitely in the hot zone. The Californians are heading out. Silicone Valley is losing people for the first time ever. Good properties here are still selling quickly but, the prices are falling some. Fewer listings as the mortgage rates, inflation, taxes and gas prices are going higher. I wasn’t the pumps the other day. The guy was complaining he’d spent $100 each time he filled up that week. It was the third time so he must be a salesman. I was filling my 5 gallon can for non ethanol gas. I jokingly said to him to buy it 5 gallons at a time snd he wouldn’t spend $100. He kept sputtering. I said to him and the other guy “ we can all say Fuck Joe Biden” in unison. The numb nuts tried saying Biden had nothing g to do with the price increases. I said you go on keep believing that. He was a Vermonter so that says it all. Voters look for validation for what they've done, and will believe anything from the talking heads that fits their beliefs. I bet the vast majority of biden voters have found ways to believe that the price of gas, inflation, covid, and Russia is not biden's fault. The californian's and Oregon's I met in TX last summer (looking to migrate) were quick to blame riots and taxes as their reason to leave... but not one of them blamed their politicians. They'll convert TX, FL, and AZ into what they left in due time. I have a gas can and 2 diesel cans sitting empty in the bed of my truck. Just can't bring myself to pay $5.65/gal to fill them up. LETS GO BRANDON!

Most lefties are lost causes and will rationalize what is happening in society to fit their narrative. The independents though are thinkers and at this point have seen enough evidence that Joe Biden is incompetent and the Democrats are corrupt to swing Republican.
The only question left is what will the Democrats due in the future to win future elections? Unfortunately the Democrats are so corrupt they will due anything to win.

His next words were "dad, it might not be cheaper later". I suspect you both are right but sometimes a mood hits me and I get stubborn. When I NEED the fuel I'll buy it.

Talking heads with experience in the petroleum industry indicated gas will continue to go up all summer and not to expect paying less than $4/gallon anytime soon.

Got a good friend in the oil industry. He says American producers are making way too much $$$ selling overseas to keep it domestics. Until policies change to get them to sell locally we will continue to buy foreign crude at whatever price they demand. Throw in a self created supply chain shortage and we are screwed.

If I recall correctly, $4/gallon gas was the necessary price for fracking to be cost effective.

Thats interesting why do foreign buyers prefer US oil? The market for oil hits equilibrium at market price, what differentiates US oil. Transportation can't be cheaper? I wonder if foreign buyers like US oil because its less risky of a producer? Makes you wonder why the US would want to buy from Saudi Arabia or Venezuela.

What you will see is more violence on the BLM and women’s right front. You see sleepy Joe push the Maga right wingers extreme theory as well. Probably some arrests of targeted republicans that they have had their eyes on for several years but, spring the arrests right before the election to make all republicans look bad.

I think they all like to keep lines of distribution open...pending changes in governments and all kinds of contracts, etc.

It seems like there is some variation in the quality of crude oil from different sources. Perhaps this is why some of those sources are preferred.
