Trying to by an Iron Mule forwarder for a timber project in Wisconsin. Agreed to $20K and the guy wants me to wire it to him so he can pay off the lien and provide me with bill of sale. Told him I cant do that for obvious reasons. He won't take a cashiers check or certified check and give me the mule as he thinks I may stop payment. Told him not bringing a suitcase of cash. Any ideas?

Find out who holds the lien and have them start the repossession process on the iron mule. Offer them $10,000 for the soon to be repossessed mule.

Dude should accept a bank or cashiers check. Something doesn't smell right.

Machine is in lower Michigan. His credit union president told me he is afraid I may not let the cashiers check go through. I asked how one goes about cancelling a cashiers check, and she did not have an answer for me. He won't let me take the machine until the money is in his bank and completely cleared. (3 days)? Told him do some research and call me if he changes his mind. Not up for having some trucker sitting around on the clock waiting for a wire to clear while I am 12 hours away.
