Minnesota and Minnesotans are great...except for a few places where all the assholes and liberal politics reside. This is why outstate Minnesotans don't like Citidiots. Like it or not, if you live in the metro you're perceived as being part of the problem. I'm seeing the issue here as an urban vs. rural citizen one. The same thing can be seen in many states if you look at the voting maps. That just shows me that when you put a bunch of people in one area it is much easier to control them via groupthink. Humans aren't genetically designed to live in close proximity to each other. I doubt rural Minnesotans are much different than rural folks in most any other state. Stu, at least you and I are not designed to live in close proximity to each other. I agree with a lot of what Freeborn said but would substitute ‘Metro Areas’ for Minnesota in his post. I suspect Rural Wisconsin versus Madison/ Milwaukee is very similar to Minnesota situation. Probably Pennsylvania also. Yep. You can throw the Fox River Valley in with Madison/Milwaukee too. I've also noticed that Bayfield/Ashland counties in WI have gone blue. I blame that on all the citidiots who have relocated there. The last time I was there the MN license plates outnumbered WI plates two to one. Illinois is the same. Many Wisconsinites think all folks from IL are like the Chicago metro assholes who screw up vacation areas in WI (FIBs). Rural Illinoisians are good people. They hate people from the Chicago metro just like Wisconsinites do.

Where does it all lead? Societal breakdown? Civil war? If it comes to that the cities will lose big because they won’t be able to feed themselves. Country folks would have a chance to rise from the ashes and fix the country.

MI is a lot like MN & PA. 1 city sways the whole state even though 90% of the counties vote a different way. We are very much traditional values where I live.

Same with Duluth.

I have wondered. Why is the NE corner of Mn all blue? I understand Duluth probably has a lot of freeloading going on.

Agree, what a selfish thing to do. One of the many problems with Trump is he doesn't have any instincts on how he behaves is perceived by the population. Why can't he wait until the election is over so his party can have a better chance to win? Why can't he announce his running without attaching the most popular Govenor in Floriday history? That move will alienate allot of people and shows Trump as being weak. Whoever is advising Trump they made a huge mistake with that press release.

I was in Duluth last year for the October leaf crowd and I was surprised at how many maskers there were. I know some were from the Cities, but there were locals too. It is a liberal area, but a slight margin.

Took me a day to pick myself back up after Tuesday, I honestly don't believe we 'cleanly' elected Whitmer, we had massive voting spikes again in our system like in 2020. Michigan turned red in 2016 before our current SOS took office in 2018, thats when shit started going really bad election cycle wise.
In other news congrats MN. You 'elected' a pink haired transvestite....

MN didn't. The metro did. There's a very real difference.
