If that's as spotted as it looks it would be worth making a pelt out of it!

Are you sure its not a Jaguar? I hear they are moving north with climate change.
I hate cats with a passion, but wild cats are very intriguing animals

Can you hunt/call them? They don't exactly come in like a yote does. Usually sitting there staring at you when you first notice them. They are curious about damn near anything and if you don't give your cover away they'll continue investigating until you get a shot. How long does it take to get a tag? I would love to see you get him! I stalked this cat a few years ago. Got around the corner of a food plot and waited for him to walk up to me. Filmed it with my phone, was at 10ft when I decided to stand up and give him a start. I was in mow yard, you can tell he sees me but wants to investigate. It's pretty cool when they walk right at you and stair you in the eyes. The tail never stops moving.

Summer cats do look leggier than winter cats to me too. Probably skinnier and thinner coats? I get to watch a lot of cat families while bow hunting. The kittens are usually playing, and the mom's appear annoyed. Reminds me a lot of my wife when the boys and I get on a role. You can almost see them rolling their eyes. Lol.

Good chance of pulling a tag next season.

I also thought that those markings were similar to a jaguar. That would be a great bobcat to trap in the winter when his coat is prime.

I think this is the cat I saw in black powder season and videod. He has less spots then most bobcats.

Instead of making a new thread I’ll post this here. Lynx are extremely rare in NH and rare in Maine. This is the best video I’ve ever seen of them. Great audio on their vocalizations. I’ve seen on lynx in the wild in my 59 years. I watched him for 30 minutes trying to wait out a chipmunk on a stonewall.
