Since I started opening the woods and getting the resulting browse, this place has become a wintering area. We see deer off and on all day. No bucks though. Not sure what that means. They shed early? Doubt it, I've got pics of bucks with full sets of antlers well into March. I'm sure there's a few that shed early, but it's not the norm here. When I fed corn, we saw plenty of bucks from January until they shed in March.

Pretty sure this is a buck that shed already. Body is big and long and neck looks too big for a doe.

First winter with the new property and just put cams back out on Sunday. I’ve had 15 ish deer per day so far. They all look in great shape heading in, but man it looks like we are in for a tough ride the next few days. Hoping they can use the downwind side of the ridge that runs through my property to stay out of this damn wind that is coming. Minus 46 wind chill on Friday there.

I think mother nature's going to thin things out this winter. There were no acorns and few apples all over the northeast this year.

I’ve got a spring coming out of the side of my hill/by the creek. We put a camera up there and the deer are there quite often .

I had 12 or 13 by my house last night. It had been 7, then 6 for a period as the neighbors hit ( harvested?) one the last night of mzzle.

Most nights were in the teens. They hung around pretty much all day every day. They wiped out a lot of the evergreens I had planted in the area. A couple nights ago, they started hitting my lilacs. Last year was the first time they browsed on the lilacs. I went out and sprayed them with Deer Out the day after they started browsing them. They haven't returned, so maybe there's hope for them yet.

We really dont have much for ornamentals. Only thing we have are hostas really. We have 6 bushes along the front steps is all. All trees are mature in the yard. Blue spruces arent touched. I saw a doe eating on a cedar a couple weeks ago.
The swamp is loaded with diamond willow. I see them browsing out there a lot.
