We're not big egg eaters. Probably fewer than 4-5 dozen a year. That said, we've been out of eggs for darn near two months now. I won't be buying any more until the price comes back down to earth. We are a dozen a week at least! Summer time is fine,,, all the free eggs we want from my cousin in OTC..... And so damn great tasting! Once my son moves out soon,,,,, our egg useage will go to a dozen a month or so. Crazy times.... Where is the tipping point where the food/resources vs number of people starts to truly become a problem? Watching the progression of development is mind boggling.

Getting more and more valuable every day!!
Part of my prepper's haul was a case of these powdered eggs. Haven't tried any yet, not looking forward to it.

Eggs were $5.50 a dozen at Kwik Trip last night. If that keeps up, maybe I'll add a few laying hens this spring to my hobby farm pig operation. I know nothing about chickens, but then again I didn't know anything about pigs a couple years ago and I didn't let that stop me from buying a few. We we’re in Missouri for a few days and I saw eggs for $2.50 a dozen. I only looked in one store. Are the $4.50/ dozen prices just regional?

Dozen eggs at Aldis were almost 5 bucks. We don't go through that much for eggs, but luckily, my wife's boss has them, and we get them for 2 bucks a dozen.

Eggs are now $1 each in the great state of NY. I do not eat eggs so I was not paying attention but the rest of the family does. Wife told me to pick up a dozen and they were $12.
