I'm looking into a permanent ground blind for my Rusk County place and was wondering if anyone has any brands they recommend. I'm not looking to spend Redneck blinds type money since I'm a little concerned something like that would either be stolen or destroyed by bears. It appears that there are quite a few options in the $1000 range, but I have no personal experience with any of them so I'm looking for any feedback good or bad about any brands.
In the past we've used popup blinds in this field edge, but I'd prefer just to go with a permanent ground blind since popup blinds are a pain in the butt and bears tear them up.

We've built a couple elevated blinds up there that have worked well for 15 years, so that's definitely an option.
Some of those premade blinds are likely cheaper and easier to setup than a homemade version, so that's why we were looking at that option. Now that lumber prices are decreasing, perhaps a homemade stand is a more cost effective option.

That was 2020. Wood wasn't cheap then either. I think I went with untreated for the framing wood to save a little. Soft sided rednecks aren't overly priced but not sure the material will last 20 years.

I use a Maverick 6 shooter for an elevated blind and like it for what it is. Served me very well. Yeah, not redneck quality but not redneck priced either.

Maybe check with Mobucks boys. Did they have a ground blind option?

I looked at these. You can get them already assembled or broke down to assemble on site. When I communicated with the owner a couple years ago He said that disassembled blind would fit in back of pickup. Might be worth a road trip. www.papajess.com/deer-blinds.html
