Any idea what this is? I’m guessing an invasive. It’s in my blueberry mulch.

Good looking blueberry mulch. Is that conifer mulch to make the soil more acidic for the blueberries?

Good looking blueberry mulch. Is that conifer mulch to make the soil more acidic for the blueberries? I think it was actually just white wood chips that have rotted down for a year. It’s to help keep weeds down, and keep the roots moist. The people I got it from Aldo have a blueberry farm and use these so that’s what I went with last year. Previously I did use pine nuggets and mulch. They should have a good crop this year. I haven’t harvested any in the past. I’ve left them for the birds. I’m guessing the bulbs for these plants must’ve been in that mulch though. Two years in a row I had mulch delivered and the snapping turtles laid their eggs in the pile so I let it sit in my driveway until the eggs hatched. That actually helped the chips break down before they went on blueberries in the fall. I do have a chipper and chip limbs on my land to make ramial for the apple trees though.
