Correction, they were 150 grain. Still need 180 grain. Can not find them anywhere yet.

My dad has a 300 WSM and he uses 180 grain for black bear, but I'm not sure what specific brand/type. I know they are expensive as hell, and he hasn't been able to get them for 2 years despite talking to gun shops and looking online. You might need to get a couple boxes of a different bullet type at some point so you have a backup plan if you can't find exactly what you want. My dad uses 150 grain in that gun for deer and it seems to be just as lethal as the larger 180 grain bullets.
That's a great gun for everything from deer through moose.

We do have a box of Federal Fusion 180 grain. but not my fave. Have no idea why 180 grain 300 wsm is not available right now.

He can find his 150 grain deer loads, but not the 180 grain loads he likes for bear. Last year my dad shot a 300 pound bear on my Wisconsin place with his 180 grain bear loads and it also shot through a 6” tree after it went through the bear. The bear only went 20 yards and I think the tree will survive. That 300 wsm definitely packs a punch.

I don't know if you can go directly to the manufacturer, but it might be worth a shot. I was recently able to get the remington slugs that have been impossible to get for the last 3 years. I was able to order them directly from Remington and they have been listed as unavailable there forever, but one day I checked and they were available, so I ordered 10 boxes. It seems that the ammo shortage is starting to ease up a bit, but nobody really knows when the ammo will arrive until it hits their receiving dock.

No luck for 180 grain rounds. Found the 2 boxes from a customer, none since.
