It doesn’t look like our Governor is fighting too hard to keep Red Lake in Minnesota possession? If anyone has heard different please post ?
Also a State Park by Granite Falls might be lost as well ? I can’t even hardly believe what is happening? No pushback from Democrats?

I think the state gave away all the state land inside the Leech Lake rez for nothing too.

Somehow, we'll still likely gain public acreage this year. Got to spend that lottery money.
The people that are giving away the land probably have never set foot or boat on it. Got to encourage public land use to stop it from happening in the future.
Also the French should have to refund us our money if we aren't going to get to own the land.

That’s most of it.

Sad state of affairs. Real eye opener for sportsman on how Democrats treat their right to hunt, own guns, use public land, state parks, etc… they really don’t care at all. The priority is minorities/trans rights.

Let's hope that legal pot and abortion rights are passed so that many people can go back to voting independently, Republican, or not at all.

Does anyone have any insight on whether there is a reasonable claim to the treaty actually granting this additional land to the tribe? I've not seen anyone comment on any validity to the claim. I get that certain woke folks just want to give handouts to minorities to feel better about themselves but it would be nice if people actually discussed the basis of the claim rather than just what they want to see happen. If the claim is bogus, the tribe can pound sand. If it's legit, it really sucks for lots of non-tribal folks up there and it sucks for fishing but I'm not going to get up in arms about Feds actually honoring treaties they signed from a position of power.

Found one article on it: www.bemidjipioneer.com/news/local/red-lake-nation-takes-steps-to-restore-east-boundary-of-upper-red-lake"...Seki detailed that Red Lake hereditary chiefs drew a line surrounding the entirety of both Upper and Lower Red Lakes on an 1889 Rand McNally map, over which Red Lake Nation would retain full sovereignty. However, Seki claimed that the map, presented by government officials in St. Paul after negotiations with Red Lake, did not include the aforementioned outline and instead depicted a line that splits Upper Red Lake into two parts, which can be seen on current maps."
