That’s an awesome buck, congrats! What’s the story? You probably won't believe it, but here goes. I was sitting in my blind watching the field edge when a face caught my eye. I looked and saw it was a deer, so I grabbed my crossbow and bipod and got ready. He walked out, and immediately I knew it was him. Now, here's the part I'm really not proud of. I ranged him. 77 yards. I thought, "Shit, he's gonna feed away from me like he always does going east along the field edge." I pulled the crossbow tight, looked through the scope, followed the hash marks down to where I thought 77 yards would be, and cut her loose. I watched the bolt sail threw the air and disappear once it got to the deer. He was turning back to the woods as I shot. I went to where he was standing and didn't see any blood. I looked for my bolt passed where the deer was standing and couldn't find it. So I walked in the woods a few steps and found a little drop of blood. Took 1 step and found another. Took another step and found a 3rd drop. Looked up and seen him lying there 20 yards away. Deader then a door nail. He probably went 35 yards total after the shot. I don't mind if you guys flame me for taking the long shot. I knew I was stupid to try it and blessed to have gotten him.

Not exactly live, but I had 13 deer in my Rye plot (green mix) tonight. Good action.

I’m in a Redneck Blind near Terrace, MN . The highest point in my county so I can see quite a bit from here . Food plot looks decent considering the dry weather !

I’m out tonight by myself and it finally feels like hunting season. Fist time ever hunting this spot. Put up a blind exclusively for a west wind. Red oaks lining a mostly clover field with a few brassicas. Can’t see many acorns left on the trees, hoping they all blew off last night in the wind.

I didn’t see anything but deer were moving, had 4 bucks in a food plot 150 yards to the east of me and one other to the north of me per my trail cameras.
