How many square feet is that pond? I have always wanted pond and your pond looks like a good size. The entire area holding water is just over 2 acres (87K sq ft), the majority of that only has a 6-12" water depth. The irregular shaped opening that has a depth of 3-5' of water is just over 16k sq ft (1/3 acre). The waterfowl and other critters are loving it.

Pond View from nearby stand Nice view of the pond. Have you thought about cutting a narrow meandering trail through the goldenrods to give a more defined edge that the deer would be more apt to use? It looks like there may be a trail already but, I’d whack it a little more defined. I’m assuming that is not your trail into the stand.

From the high water mark to the low water mark. Should settle in somewhere between in the long run.
