Bucky got lucky today, sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.
Goldie should have beaten Maryland...but choked. Not sure what the deal is with UMN...coaching, players not sure how to win...or what?

Not sure what the deal is with UMN...coaching, players not sure how to win...or what? You hit the nail on the head, there is something missing when teams constantly can't close the deal. I have been dealing with it for years and it's frustrating. It seems even the best Minnesota team can't close the deal.

I'll never pull for the Gophers to beat the Badgers, but I'll sure pull for them to win against anybody else (as long as it doesn't negatively impact the Badgers). They should have won that game today and I really don't know why they didn't. From what I can see, it all comes back to the same thing as the football team is dealing with...a mental obstacle. MN teams need to get used to winning...and expect to win. It sure seems that teams here expect the opposite and are surprised when they win

Minnesota still plays incredibly stupid at times. And little Ricky is still their "coach".

Missing shots isn't stupid. Don't get me wrong, we had our moments, but we still won. Helps we were playing Rutgers, who is even more incompetent. Generally we make good decisions. More so than Minnesota.

Our execution and playmaking last two minutes and OT were the difference. We scored 29 points on the last 15 possessions. That's ridiculous.

Bucky looked like shit for the vast majority of the game. So much so that I turned the game off and headed to the local bar to watch the Gophers later. Got there, asked them to put the B1G channel on and was surprised to see Bucky ahead in OT.
Ya, they won. No, they didn't deserve to win.

Deserves got nothing to do with it. No such thing as a moral loss. Win is a win at this point. These are the games we've lost in the past that have cost us conference titles.
Have to get Illinois on Tuesday on the road. Purdue worries me more than Maryland.

Yeah, but the first 35 minutes of the game they averaged under a point per minute. You play ANYONE even slightly more talented than Rutgers and your done with a performance like that. ANY of their upcoming opponents will put them in the L column if they play like that again. They cannot afford that type of play moving forward.

There are still some bad opponents left but yes I'd rather they play better. We always have a stinker or two every year. Shit the runner up team lost to Rutgers that year.

Nice for the terps to experience some bad luck in a tight game for once. Never made a shot the last 7+ minutes. And still almost won. Constantly bailed out by the refs. Thank god Haas's absolute stupidity didn't cost Purdue.
