I am so sick of it the last few days that I cannot listen to the radio. I don't watch TV. I am listening to oldies stations.
Crooks all over the place.
Makes you wonder how the Clintons escaped the hot seat for so many years.

Makes you wonder how the Clintons escaped the hot seat for so many years. Your seeing a terrible reaction by the left. The left has a good reason to be so angry, they are and have lost their monopoly on news. The news agencies, both network and newspaper are losing their news audience to the alternative sources like the web. Think back to before Fox, the web and talk radio, the networks had a monopoly on managing the news narrative. Increasingly liberal news outlets are being questioned and caught not being honest with the public. Hopefully the networks continue to lose importance and more alternatives come available. I agree the reaction particularly from the left is at a historical high, but it should lead to better reporting.

I try not to let it bother me, but sometimes yeah it does. Why would anyone want to be in politics?

Learn to use podcasts Art. I get hours and hours of fresh free content every week about pro wrestling from the likes of Lillian Garcia, Stonecold Steve Austin, Chris Jericho, Vince Russo (head writer during the attitude era), and even good ole JR-Jim Ross. It's all the rage today. Even Shaq has a basketball podcast now. It's a whole shitload of nothing, but it's content and it lets the brain cool off.

I just go outside and walk around the yard, look at apple trees, look at the garden, play fetch with the dog.

If I was more confident in my knowledge to quack about habitat things, I'd take a crack at making a habitat podcast. If one existed, I'd be all over it as a fan. I do fart around with the concept though. My buddy Bob is married with three kids and a mean wife. We don't get to talk on the phone hardly ever, so I'll record a 25 minute "Bobcast" with the voice memos app on my iPhone and send it to him on a sunday and he can listen whenever he's driving to or from work. But those only come when there's been a habitat weekend.

I used to follow current events and politics very closely. As I've aged I've found that I'm happier not paying much attention. I know that is probably not the correct thing to do as an American but fuck it. I know the 2 party system failed us long ago and they all are a bunch of crooks.

I only follow it because I am in my truck all day every day. Once the weekend hits I avoid all news outlets. This country is fucked and it is clear now Washington is not going to allow it to change. I dont wish away time but I can't wait to be able to sit at my camp and stare at the trees and have very little contact with the rest of the world.

It's all disgusting. The worst isn't so much the media (I can turn off the media), but when I hear people parrot the media in every day life. It seems EVERYONE is fired up about politics right now and most people are either on the FOX side or CNN side. Nobody listens to both sides of the story and they are all so damn sure that their side is right... even though the only thing they are going off of is one network (or the facebooks which SUCKS!). Then they turn around say the media can't be trusted... except of course when the media makes their view right then it's fact.
Right now my TV is either on sports, Better Call Saul, or Deadliest Catch. I'm trying like crazy to avoid the Crazies.

Trying to get my wife to give season two a shot. Is it that good?

Better Call Saul is great. Damn near on par w/ BB. If explosions and car chases are your thing, you may not like it. My two favorite going now are BCS and Fargo.

I won't say it's all that great, but I'm enjoying how they introduce all of the Breaking Bad characters. Right now it's damn near the same show as Breaking Bad, just without Walt. They've brought in all of the cartel characters.

My daughter said that during finals week, she watches SpongeBob to relax . Not from my timeline, but maybe the Pink Panther or Tom and Jerry would do it for me. Probably just as useful as the other "news".
