Is there a possibility (ANY possibility) that 2/3 of the senate is ever going to agree on a single spending bill? I think they would rather not have their name on it so that when it's ship sinks they can lift their hands and say "wasn't me". They probably want Trumps name all over it.

Took your advice Mo. I put in an order to buy some downside protection. May $32 call options on SH are dirt cheap right now. I hope they expire worthless. Most options do expire worthless, whether you want them too or not! Edit: but you buy insurance for your car truck or house and you hope you don't use that either! If the market goes up, I win. If the market goes down, I won't lose as much. It only cost me 0.4% of my portfolio to shield a third of it to late May. I put in another order to cover another third if the price of those options falls further. I'm shocked at how cheap those crash options were. I also found a story about record inflows to stocks the past month, and we're hardly into earnings season. The next two weeks will tell us if the boom continues, or some of these stretched out stocks are gonna get reeled in.

The fear of missing out is called the exhaustion gap. CNBC is correct, that is what is happening right now.......maybe!

They are out of the money, and only have 4 months left until they expire. Time is against them.

I was never a fan of Apple. I always felt their lack of removable storage, replaceable batteries, and proprietary app system was a play to monopolize their customers. I like the free market concept of Android a lot better. BUT, them bringing their money back to the US, building a new campus, giving their employee's bonus's, and creating new jobs just may change my mind about them. Rock on! This is a great example of trickledown working! They also prevented many of the virus issues for many years by doing so (MUCH TO THEIR CREDIT).....until our congress gave Samsung the tech that Apple held close to their vest. Just saying.

Ya, I recognize value in their system and their (basically failproof) products. Just don't like the "held hostage" feeling of having to do everything through them. With that said they shouldn't have had to release ANYTHING held close to their vest if they conceived it.

The courts opened up apples' closely held platform to Samsung......and now the pirates and thieves have access. Sad.

There is many stolen ideas and programs from every company. Apple isn't the pure, white rose you think it is. Its done the same thing to other companies I'm sure.

Wondering about PolyMet for a 'flyer" in the mining sector. The company has 0 earnings......but could really take off when it clears the rest of the environmental hurdles. Looks like they will.......very soon. Copper, Nickel and Cobalt are the materials they would produce. With the demand for cobalt growing VERY fast......it would seem this could be. a sleeper. About a buck a share currently.. I suppose it's risky.......but could be a super winner if it all happens as planned.
These electric car companies that everyone is anticipating.....is going to require LOTS of rare metals.....and Cobalt is one of the hardest to come by currently. Anyone have any research or knowledge to share on this?

Anyone have any research or knowledge to share on this? I wouldn't go anywhere near mining ever again. I've thrown away plenty of money chasing the collapse of the dollar, the impending lithium boom, the uranium crunch, the great gold hoax, $30,000/oz silver, platinum in catalytic converters, etc. I lost money on every single one. They've been one approval away from getting Polymet open for the 11 years I've been watching. Seems a never ending cycle of approval and lawsuit. I'm sure there will be another mining boom someday, but to time it between bankruptcies of these companies seems impossible. $1 a share and zero earnings should be your signal that this isn't the time. Have you ever thought about getting into zero interest unsecured stabbin cabin notes with share cropping rights on perch ponds and a time share on a Ford 660 tractor?

Bahahahahahahahahahaha! Fucking dot coms all over the place again! LOL!
