I like good food and beer, so does my wife.
Maybe a thread for places with positive experiences would be worthwhile?
We ate and drank at Too Tall Tavern in/near Cushing today. We've been wanting to hit the place since last fall when they changed ownership....burgers and beers were top notch. We'll return without a second thought.

Angler's Corner in Cushing, right off of Hwy 10 is a great stop for homemade pizza at a reasonable price.

The Last Turn Saloon in downtown Brainerd feels like walking into Cheers......and I'm told the burgers are good. I need to eat there.
If you get to a QDMA meeting in Pequot Lakes.....I like Lucky's Tavern downtown. About 12 good beers on tap....and the burgers are great. 1/2 lb Burgers....except at lunch time.

Estelles in Harmony MN. Affordable, gourmet, homemade, food. Arguably top 5 restaurant in MN for around $12/plate. They've got about a dozen craft beers on tap as well.

Heartbreakers in Antigo is my go to place for great steaks. Prime rib, etc. Bar is decent too. I've never had their burgers or fish but people rave about them too. French onion soup best I've ever had.

Saxon Hall in Brownsville, MN. Just changed ownership but the food remained the same and now they have expanded hours. Some of the best pizza in our area. Then there is River Roadhouse north of Ferryville, WI. Also damn good pizza and a sweet location being 100 yards from the Mississippi.

Bringing up this old thread....was at Cowboy's of Lakeshore (MN) today. We've eaten there a number of times before and were happy. We hadn't been there for quite awhile until today and they appeared to be under new ownership/management....it was still great. I had a patty melt (awesome - 1/2 lb) and my wife had lobster tacos (special for the month of September). The tacos were fantastic. We'll try our best to get back again before the end of the month.

Shoot!.....I wish you would let me know when you and your Mrs are gonna be in town. We'd take you on a pontoon ride and visit one of the watering holes nearby. ON the lake......Earnies is a fun stop.....though today was not a good lake day. AND....Earnie's is building a new place (Canoe Paddle?? or Bent Paddle??) in downtown Nisswa. About time somebody puts a restaurant in town. The 371 highway finally looks like it's ready for final blacktopping out of Nisswa. They sure took their sweet time on that bridge.
