How the hell do they even know? I haven't seen the harvest report from last fall yet. " After extensive population surveys done this spring we have determined there are a million deer again. With new prices in place, we're going to try to convince you idiots to buy a shitload more tags we are excited to announce there will be more opportunity for us to raise more revenue than ever for our phony bologna jobs hunters this fall."

Instead of asking for an audit and a deer plan, we should have maybe just asked for Ron Popeil's cousin Arnold to read the DNR press releases to us.

All their doing is lubing us up for when the regs come out in July. Yep, getting us all ready for a big blotch of orange/ red intensive zone areas in south and central mn. Less deer and a younger deer herd are on tap. No deer for some areas. like NE and SW, and areas around CWD farms or CWD in wild deer areas. Come to think of it, what is left, just far NW Mn? If the DNR could find a way that deer are hurting the elk population, they could take care of those deer also. Here is a prediction.." in the near future, deer numbers in NW Mn. will need to be reduced because they are impacting the elk herd." Browse competition, cover competition, competition for foodplots specifically for the elk, disease.. Which will it be or "All of the above"? Oh yes, move elk into the area just south of Duluth. Repeat.

Just another thought. Since elk travel longer distances and we are finding movements between what we thought were separate elk herds in NW Mn., perhaps we should not stock elk in the area south of Duluth. Are they more likely to transport CWD from areas in Wis?
Does CWD spread faster in elk areas versus whitetail only areas?

If you are a person who likes seeing and hunting deer...MN is not the state for you.
Sad...I am just now starting to see some deer...like a person should in areas with fantastic habitat. What's even sadder? MN deer hunters will happily shoot the fuck out of the herd with zero regrets. Puppets and puppet master

We cut back harvest to get more deer. Now shoot the fuck out of them so we are right back at square one again.

2 years of conservative harvest grew the herd 50% in my zone 249. Excited to get back on the trigger. Thinking I may try kill them all. WHOOT!
