Wolves got Butler in trade with Bulls. Most analysts think Wolves got the best of the trade.

Was I the only one that watched the draft?

I didn't watch the draft but was interested to hear the Wolves got Butler. Butler, Wiggins, Towns - if the Wolves don't make the playoffs next year something isn't right. I'd say this move put the Wolves at the top of the list for possible male professional sports champions in the state of MN (not that that is saying much)

I sort of watched it. I was more interested in where college players were going, than who NBA teams got (if that makes any sense).

Good players this year. The thing about NBA is unless you have those 3 studs you can't compete, and they have to be awesome to pay against Lebron, Durant etc...

I love the draft. It's like a bunch of guys all win the lotto five minutes apart. Seemed like a bunch of nice kids for the most part. I wish they would get rid of the one and done though. I prefer college basketball and this system guts the best players every year. Let them go pro out of HS or stay three years. That being said I won't watch the NBA until next years playoffs.

Get rid of that damn lottery ball crap. The lottery was brought on to lessen teams tanking. They seem to be doing it more and earlier in tge season.

Timberwolves never tanked. They just sucked ass and got hosed for years drawing pick number 7.

I'm very much on board with what chummer said. I hate the one and done's. And I very much prefer the college game but I do watch the NBA playoffs. Players not working out for lottery teams is bass akwards. The players shouldn't have ANY control. They are employees and as such should do what ever their boss says, even if they don't like it. If they don't want to do that then quit and find another job.

Kind of like baseball draft.
Damn kids can basically refuse a contract and pick the team they want. Bullshit.

Kind of like baseball draft. Damn kids can basically refuse a contract and pick the team they want. Bullshit. It does backfire. I played against a kid in college(6'4" 220lbs) that was drafted by the Astros out of high school. He hit two home runs against us that are still in the air. He didn't want to be drafted by Huston so he went to college and thought he would get drafted again in three years. Not sure what happened but he was gone the following year and never got a sniff of the bigs again. For the record he came in to pitch the ninth against us and in my first college at bat I took three pitches down the middle and never saw one of them. Big difference from my podunk town to a guy throwing 90.
