It has been impossible to find a left handed gun for my daughter. My buddies uncle has a stainless tikka light .243 with a bushnel scope he wants $800 for. I know very little about guns but does this seem like a good deal? it is like new and has been fired very little. The guy is a judge so he is making me do a nics check if I buy it so I don’t want to figure that out if it isn’t a good deal. The better deal could be the ammo, he said I can have all he has for $15 a box.

That sounds like a fair deal to me. Especially is its in really good condition. Get all the ammo he has.

I can’t comment on price but if you have the model you can compare prices on sites like gun trader.

I know there is a slight safety risk, but all four in my family shoot right hand bolts on the left side. I would not do that with older guns.
Have you checked for your daughters dominant eye? That should determine which side to shoot from in my view.
Early on, I bow hunted and shot rifles right handed. I wish I had started on the left to begin with.
I can remember shooting my recurve and my arrow path was always at an angle with increasing distances. When I put sights on it, the pins would run at an angle. I knew no one that archery hunted to help me.
No archery pro shop, nothing.

She is back for season two so probably time I get her set up right.

The oldest is right handed but left eye dominant. He shoots right handed gun lefty style.

I’ve never shot one but the internet is full of good reviews of that rifle. Hard to go wrong I say.

I have a bunch of tikkas and love those guns. Seems like a decent price hard to tell with no details on the scope.

I paid about that for my 6.5 creedmoor without the scope. That seems like a good deal, especially in today’s shortages. Like tooln said get all the ammo you can. I can’t get any .243 shells these days.

Tikka is one of the best guns on the market. We have three. My Boys love the .243 for coyotes & deer.

Looks like 800 is what it is retail for just the gun. If the scope and mounts are decent enough and it isn't beat up, I'd buy it without a problem. It's not a smoking deal but you now don't have to look for another gun and have something of good quality.

Just realized yours is lefty. That's 50 bucks more. I'd buy it if I was looking.

Scope and mounts are worth 150 or more....have not priced a scope lately. If you get a sling and case....your golden.....and have a somewhat hard to get gun there.
