When I was first married we went up to eastern Ontario to a lake named Bob's Lake. My wife's uncles were caretakers for a camp on an island. The people bought it. Ack I the 1960s for $10,000. It's Over a mile long and only one camp on it. They had a chance to buy other camps cheap up there but, never did because they could use this camp whenever they wanted as long as the owners weren't using it. The owners eventually retired and wanted to use it more often and property values exploded. I bet that island is worth $2,000,000 now. The uncles got to use it for 40 years so I'd say they did well. We would fish for 6 days from 600am till 1000pm with breaks for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Lots of walleye, base, and northerns.
