I just ordered a Spypoint solar from Rogers Sporting Goods (139.99). Really good reviews on this camera, the solar basically replaces the need for batteries. Perfect situation for out of state owner. I plan on putting it up in Iowa and just switching cards when I am down there.
Supposed to have the very fast trigger speed.

I know, it is a bit crazy what we spend on cams!
Been tooling around with the camera this morning, nice set up, easy, and I think the solar combo could be real nice for putting in a spot, where you do not want to enter very often and mess with batteries.

Will you get enough sunlight to keep it going mounting it in the woods?

They still use batteries too.

Isn't the solar part just charging the batteries?

If you go to trailcampro.com or check out the Youtube clips, they say it picks up light even in the timber. I am not 100% sure how the internals work, but it sounds like you can run it without batteries, but they recommend 6 AA in the unit. Estimated battery life of a 1 year +....?
