Whoa! $10 per TON?? That seems like one helluva deal.....no? If I could buy pell lime at that price.....I would not mess with ag-lime. Check those figures??? It was ag lime. 10 a ton delivered. Hellava price even at that. I wish I could buy it for twice the price. .....but I have a lot of trucking to do.

Just picked up 1600# at Menards for $3/bag. It's going down in the morning. Good price both places.

Why is it a better product on sandy soil? Magnesium?? Yeah. Typically, sandy soil is low in magnesium. This can help put your magnesium back and tighten up your sand a little. No clue how long it takes or how much, but it's a step in the right direction.

Had soil tests, high magnesium, 250- 390 ppm. Looks as though Menards does not have high levels of this, Menards price $3 each with a 11% rebate.

SD,
If all goes well I will have soil samples tomorrow afternoon. Do you figure on a couple cups of soil per location?

That would about do it I'd think. When I didn't have a soil bag, I'd use about half a quart bag.
