I have never planted any Whitney Crab that I remember? Should I be planting some in MN?

I have never planted any Whitney Crab that I remember? Should I be planting some in MN? I like Whitney crabs, they're tasty little devils. They start getting ripe and drop anywhere from now through early September. Spiced/pickled Whitney crabs are a great winter time treat IMHO.

Sounds like a good option, I am planning on ordering dolgo, and chestnut, might as well add one or two more.

I have a few Centennial. They are very tasty, heavy bearing, large crab apples.

I know I have centennial and Kerr grafted, I tried Wickson and I don't think it took. I really need to inventory all of my trees! I'm excited for Whitney and chestnut to produce. I have heard so many great things from them!

My wife is a canner, so between the two of us I imagine we can figure it out. I think it's pretty much a hot water bath canning process like pickles/pickled green beans/whatever. Finding the right recipe may take a few attempts.
