Here is what I have ordered for next year. This should just about do it for me.
from Cummins
1 campfield 2 frostbite 2 redfield 3 hewe's crab 3 wickson crab
from SLN
4 Viola crabs
I should be at 56 trees after next year. These are the types I will have in the ground then. If I can find another yellow transparent I may get two more. The kids really like them. I will be done unless I have to replace any trees. That's plenty to maintain.
3 dolgo 5 chestnut crab 3 Whitney crab 3 centennial crab 4 honey crisp 1 yellow transparent 6 franklin apple 8 winter wildlife 12 viola hanging crab 3 hewes 3 wickson 1 campfield 2 redfield 2 frostbite

I have 3 chestnut crabs and 3 dolgo crabs ordered from Turkey Creek. That is it for now for fruit trees - I may pick up a few others come spring depending on what I find at the local big box stores..... I have had no so great luck with my people apples (my fault) so I am leaning towards crabs and once I see how those work will top work my people apples. I'm done with regular apples. If I stumble across something interesting I may jump....never know.

I don't plan to buy any fruit trees next year. I will graft a number of pear and apple rootstocks that had failed grafts from this year. I'll also do some top-working.
According to my records...right now I have 11 varieties of pear and 45 varieties of apple/crabapple. I have more than one of a number of those varieties, but I don't have a total count right now. Probably around 70ish I'd guess

I think CrazyEd has a couple apples/crabs for me next year. Not sure exactly what varieties. Basically just trying to replace a couple I have lost.

I'm not planting any trees next year.
Right now it looks like:
4 weeping willow 10 B118 root stocks A few hundred ROD plugs if I can get them
Then the shitpile seed hotlist for this winter is looking something like this. It needs to get winnowed down a bit before I order. Shooting for under $100 to get a few hundred thousand seeds.
Nanking cherry American plum Apple - Ranetka Apple - Antonovka Wild black cherry Buffaloberry American cranbery Nannyberry viburnum gray dogwood Mountainash Serviceberry Thimbleberry white pine black spruce balsam fir

^^^makes me wonder if a guy should just scoop up as many bushels of dropped fruit as you could and just scatter them (while paying attention to all baiting laws) about a property.
I'm sure the wild trees I have growing here are thanks to some critter eating an apple/crabapple and crapping out a seed in an opportune location.

I've got close to 100 grafts and rootstock to find homes for between now and snow flying so I won't be ordering trees for next year. I will be grafting next spring onto existing trees and rootstock though.

I'd bury some of the apples instead of just scattering them. I found another apple tree last weekend. Somehow grew up in between two large rocks.

I sprayed a few small areas where I might put a handful or two of the left overs and drop a tiny cage over them. Maybe even n area in the garden might bet some seeds.

I am planning on a snowsweet as my tree is dying from the black fungus.
I just got a flyer where you can order 1000 dolgo rootstock for $600-$700 . this is the same place where I ordered rootstock a few years ago. It was nice rootstock.
