Got my Cabelas ad yesterday. I was about to pitch it this morning, and I thought I'd take a look for shits and giggles. They've got Oracles down to $425 after rebate. I always double check with my gun shop in Brookings, SD before buying anything from Cabelas. They look to have them for $450 w/$50 mail in rebate. It isn't clear if that's already in the price or after the fact. I'll call the hot chick I deal with there this morning and see what she says. www.onlinegundeals.com/ItemDetails/794450234/DPMS-ORACLE-CARBINE-223CAL-NEW-60531--50-factory-mail-in-rebate-through-10-15-1.htmI know DPMS isn't the best gun out there, but I've had three of them and they've all worked great for me on accuracy and function. Who couldn't use another black gun?

Pulled the trigger on this. A ruger precision rifle in 6mm creedmoor. Should look good with the can on it. Can't wait until it gets to my local gun shop next week.

it's got a fast 1-7.7 twist barrel on it so it can shoot the heavier 243 bullets out to infinity and beyond.

I have the same rifle in 6.5 credmore. Love it! I have mine topped with a 5-25-50 Burris Extreme II. Shoots great groups to 500 yards, good groups to 700 yards and very iffy groups to 900 yards....with me shooting.

A lot of guys do the prs shoots out here and use the 6mm creedmoor. Supposedly it kicks a little less then the 6.5 which allows them to see their shot better.

6MM does kick less than the 6.5, but is more prone to drift. Both Calibers are a double edge sword.

That book is the bible when it comes to shooting long range. Litz is on the long range hunting forum and the amount of knowledge that guy has is extensive.
