Wife bought me a Moultrie a yr ago March. It broke, I sent it back, they replaced it with a different (but similar priced) model. A couple of months later the replacement broke and they replaced it the same way. Now the newest one they sent me is acting up. I've replaced batteries, formatted sd cards, and tried everything I can think of to straighten it out. I'm going to try one more set of new batteries and another card before calling Moultrie again.
Anyone else have trouble getting one of these to last more than 2 or 3 months? Customer service has been great, but I really want a camera that works. I can't believe that I've gotten this many lemons in a row.

I bought one 5ish years ago and it is still running like a champ. Been through a couple instances with ants too.
However, bought one last year as well and it is acting up bad. Sometimes doesn't take pictures for a couple days
Browning is the best bang for your buck right now.

same here. Had very good luck overall.
Did have one die that was about 5 years old. had one that took purple pics, and they replaced that and no issues on that new one. I have 5 of various models I think.

I've got one 880 that is going on a year old, it has been flawless so far. I just added two more and they seem to be just as good so far (knock on wood).
I had sworn off Moultrie years ago. Back when their first cams came out I bought a couple and they were completely useless. Expensive to purchase and they ate batteries like candy.

It's a crap shoot with Moultrie for me. The very first one I ever bought, Marv dropped a basswood tree on it and it ripped the box and screws right off the tree is was hanging from, crushed the box, and busted the glass out. Marv fixed it and it's still running and shooting like a champ after five years. Others I've had go right to shit and they did replace them, even sent me an extra one. I've got another that's only a couple years old and it's starting to not trigger much at all.
I had pics of entire swats of brassicas disappearing over a couple days right in front of the cam and no in between pics.

I'd sworn Moultrie off for 5-6 years until I recently bought two new ones from Rogers Sporting Goods.

I have 3 moultrie cameras that are about 6 years old that have some issues. But I can expect that because mine stay out 9 months a year. I have about 10 more that old that are still going good, other than they are still the c battery type, I like them. I have been switching them out when I find some on sale, the 880's from moultrie are AA battery type and have been good. And at less than $80 on sale, you can't go wrong. At least I cant.

Lol, I just want ONE that works. I take good care of my stuff. I shouldn't be replacing them every 3 months!
I guess as long as they will keep replacing them I keep sending them in (hoping to get one that stays running for a while). Their customer service has been awesome. The instant they stop replacing them is the day I'll never own another one.
