Found a good "cherry picker" engine hoist on CL and paid $80 for it. Gonna use it to store my PH digger as shown in the pic below (by someone else on TBN). PH Diggers are a pistol to pick up or move and store. Too many flexible locations to connect by yourself without a good stand. I like the looks of this arrangement. If I find another one of these.....I may use a second one for my tiller too. That tiller can be a pistol to store at times too. Just a bit heavy and wants to roll when hooking up. I can see getting one of these just to load / unload trailers....if you don't have a tractor with a loader. Lotsa bang for the buck....IMO.

Tom are you going to fasten to the digger with a strap or find the balance point and weld on a loop?

Plastic pallets are the bomb. I've got about 20 of them. Watering totes set up on 8 of them. Others are under equipment under the leantoo.

Tom are you going to fasten to the digger with a strap or find the balance point and weld on a loop? My tiller came with a lift loop on it. Seems to be at the balance point. I guess I will just pick it up with this.....and then set the tiller on the two elongated supports that emanate from the distal ends of the fluid actuated lifting mechanism which are likewise supported by rotationally movable caster wheels. (remindful of my patent language....lmao) Perhaps a pic when I get 'er done will help solve the language issues? lol

Assembled and checked the cylider on this $80 cherry picker. Works good. If it works for tiller storage, I'm gonna keep scouting for another. Storm survey prevented time to fool with this today. Lots of these available on CL @reasonable prices.

Do you plan on adding anything to the lift or just set the tiller on the two frames?

Do you plan on adding anything to the lift or just set the tiller on the two frames? Not real sure....but it may take some cross sections to hold the tiller?? I suspect I will need to add some iron. Hope it would work "as-is"....but I'll know more once I set it down. I do have a lifting loop that is attached to my gearbox.....and I assume it's in the balanced spot on the tiller. I bought this thing to hold my post hole digger.....but I'm gonna try it on my tiller first. I suppose the tiller is most important.

I used two 2000# auto dollies to put my reverse tine tiller on.

I used two 2000# auto dollies to put my reverse tine tiller on. Yep.....I've stored my tiller on a couple of those moving dollies. The problem is....it likes to roll.....and then it ends up in a mess on the floor. A real struggle to get it righted again. The cherry picker's lift arm can prevent the rolling while the steel arms would hold the tiller off the ground allowing it to be rolled into a corner for storage.
