What have you seen for deer use of this? I see no use in the farm country of central Mn. I have seen it heavily used during some years in the northern third of Mn.

It seems to persist for years in central and northern Mn. I found this along totally unmaintained trails in northern Mn.

I haven't found anything the deer won't eat come late fall up by me. I even found volunteer sorghum stalks chewed off in November.

Some locations with lighter soil had red clover mixed in. Medium red clover and bird foot might be a low maintenance mix to feed some deer in the northland. I could not judge deer use the last few days as I found one deer track in 1.5 days of walking grouse and logging trails.

Rancher down by me suggested it for plots. Claimed they use to mix it in their hay field when it was cheap. Very hardy once established and he said deer really liked it. Of course we are in a high desert and the deer will eat anything that stays green some years.
