McLovin and I were 70 yards apart in 601 and we had a buck roaring about 100 yards from McLovin. Loudest I have ever heard in the woods. He probably roared 20 times. Would roar 4 or 5 times, a pause of a minute or two and then 4 or 5 more. Here are examples of what we heard.

I think that maybe an occasional doe will come in heat 1 month early. It's been several years ago but a guy I know killed a buck this weekend in October and he was on a doe that appeared to be hot.
I've only heard a roar twice in my life. Both times, there were two or more bucks and a hot doe. I think it is a sign of extreme aggression.
Or maybe the buck was just tired of listening to McLovin talk shit.

I bet that was a blast! Odd seeing such dominance from those yearling bucks. Was that last night? I imagine an older class buck will be moving in very soon.

Just imagine not knowing what that is and hearing it in the woods. Pretty cool.

Those youtubes were examples. We did not have a camera with us. We did not see the deer.
