Picked up 6 bags of RR soybean Seed thru my NWTF chapter. Trying to figure out the maturity group. I think by the numbers on bag they are a group 5.

So how does a guy go about getting those? I go to the banquet every year and let a committee person know that I want some seed. Then in December they email me to confirm what I want. They do charge for the seed but it is cheaper.

The number in the picture you posted with the 5's may just be a lot number. Or it may have the group number as you think. No way to know without more info on my end.
The thing I don't like about a lot of those NWTF corn and bean seed is what is the germination rate on whats in the bag. If it doesnt have a label that states the germ rate, it probably low. I would take ten beans out of each bag and plant them in a dish and see how they germ. Just to make sure you know what you have.

I always do a test and also seed a little heavier but surprisingly I have never had worse than 90% germination when testing.

What does your chapter charge you Tom? Ours was $15. Usually we just got corn but I finally convinced them to get soybean seed this year

Mo, if I could find them for 30 I would buy them. A couple years ago when NWTF didn't have any RR soybeans I paid 60 bucks a bag. If I was closer to you I would be buying them from you all day at 30.
