I’m sitting in my garage watching it rain and I think I could float a small raft down my driveway.
We’ve had more rain in the past month than we had the entire growing season last year. I’m not complaining, but I’d sure like to save some of this rain for august.
I have sandy soil at my house and my corn and bean plots do great with weather like this. It almost looks like I know what I’m doing.
I couldn’t ask for better spring weather for the 500 spruce and 100 plums on the new place.

Just got about .5" in maybe 5 minutes. Sounds like north of us not far got worse. Tornado to the east according to the radio. I planted a couple of this year's grafts today and didn't water them. I guess I got lucky with tonight's downpour edit..oh yeah, got my first deerfly bite of the year. Seems at least a week early for them.

Storms went north and just south of me, thank God. I don't need anymore moisture for a while still.

NWS says 4-6" of rain Monday/Monday night. I sure hope they're wrong i would be happy with a slow 1.5 inches of rain. So far irrigators are not running. I heard the watershed has or has proposed new rules.
