From my observations in central and north central Mn this fall, it seems like the deer are bunched up around the alfalfa and very few tracks around the standing corn. Maybe this will change if the alfalfa starts to go dormant.
Is anyone else seeing this?
Why? Lots of fall rain with good fall growth on alfalfa?
I also see a cluster of deer on a standing bean field.

Will firearm hunting pressure move deer to the standing corn?

Will firearm hunting pressure move deer to the standing corn? I would think so. Once the pressure builds the bucks will head to cover and go nocturnal.
Looks like all the corn that borders my property is out which is good as that makes my primary plot more attractive.
Hope to get my buddy on a good buck this year.

Yep. once the orange army hits, they will dive for cover, with corn tasting pretty good then!

Deer are now, and have been in the corn here all fall. By this time Sunday, the standing corn will be holding a lot of deer I'd guess.

They're feeding all over the place right now but come tomorrow they'll be in the corn and the thick stuff.
