That would be a good find for you. Offer em a bit less.....but snap it up if you can. It will last a long time.
I'd offer about $600 or $650 cash.....and see what they say.

I really wanted the 6.5'er from FF if I don't get one. 20" a pass adds up doesn't it? You think that is a good built unit? Big enough for me?

I have a similar old 3 point Ford disc, but I believe mine is a 6' version. They are really nice and work great. I would do just what Foggy recommends, but I certainly wouldn't hesitate to pay $800 if you had to.

One thing about tillage equipment and width......if you are a bit small.....you can always go faster and that makes up for the width to some extent. It's better to be too small than too big. At least you will be able to pull it most anywhere....and I think it is a well built disk. The name brands normally don't produce junk. I have a 6.5 foot disk and 30 PTO HP as well as 4WD....and would not want a bigger disk. Also.....I think that is a 5.5' disk. Just four blades less than a 6.5 er.

You guys are gonna love this. I called and he said he would take $600 bucks for it. I guess now is the time to jump on it. I'm gonna meet with him on Sunday and I'll pick it up on my way home.

Hell of a deal at $600. Just make sure he doesn't sell it out from under you. Call him again and have him removed the CL add.

The only question I have is how long do you guys think it will take to do 5 acres with this disc? I know it depends on speed. Just give me an idea.

Brad,
We paid $600 for an older 6' Ford disc last year. I don't think it was tubed like this one. It's the angle iron kind. I wish I had 5 acres of plots to use it.

If you later decide you need or want bigger Don’t sweat it Easy to sell again or trade ......especially for what you got in it This small used three point stuff is like gold. And I think you will be happy with the size in light of the price you paid

These are the kinda deals where if you snooze you just might loose. Ext guy coemes along with another 25 bucks and it gets sold out from under you. Happens all the time Go now and buy the disk......IMO

Is a 3 pt disc heavy? I had numerous times I had to unhook my disc to drive out of a mess and then rehook a chain to pull the disc out. Can you do that with a 3 pt in your muddy fields?
