I got the silky “ultra accel curve professional” folding saw off of Amazon for $35 w/ free shipping. 240mm/9.5” blade this fall. The thing is amazing! I have most of my hang on stands in pine trees an the thing cuts through 4” branches like butter, and flush to the trees too. I also got the Silky Gomtaro 300mm fine tooth saw for $40 shipped. It was the replacement for the Gamtaro “apple” saw that Stephen Hayes uses in his videos on apple tree pruning. It was discontinued as well so I bought 2 of them because it was about the same price as a replacement blade, and can have one for home too. It will be years before I will be able to use them for apple trees, but the saw is great for cleaning up the shoots on the maple trees and such.

Yes, nobody will be touching my silky saws either! I was looking on the Silky website for what they recommend for cleaning pinesap and stuff off the blades. It says use easy off oven cleaner and brush for 10 minutes, then spray with wd-40.
