Minnesota and the rest of the deer nation sucks ass at putting cash out to defend/promote/etc
One small lake in SW MN has put forward $100k to shut down one dairy farm in SD. They see value.
Wild deer have zero value. Its the reason herds are on the decline. Deer are a legitimate liability.

$1,000 per lake member to fight for the lake. Deer hunters give less than $1 each for anything other than a tax.

100 grand could be cheap if they get the farm stopped from building. If not, they could loose millions in property value just from the smell alone with a west to east wind everyday!

No different than if someone starts a gravel pit next to you after you already have a existing home in place. How could you ever sell for top dollar?

My point is deer hunters have shit for real money behind them, and it amazing that 100 cabin owners can raise 100k while 500,000 deer hunters don't spend shit for the resource.

It is a much more tangible threat to them. Stop a farm from being built in one specific spot verus trying to change policy. Policy is nebulous, can't see it or hold it.
