I loiter in some of the old fishing forums that cover MN. I came across this thread on Red Lake garbage over on Fishing Minnesota. fishingminnesota.com/forums/topic/209972-no-dumpster-at-rogers/There are a few business owners up there that chime in from time to time to create some perspective. The garbage issue has been terrible for years there. The whole reason I want my own pond, is not because I want my own fish, but I want to be freed from this bullshit, and all the other bullshit that goes along with public waters.

Is the average person up there an asshole? What kind of nerve does it take to throw your trash in the lake or someone else's land. I don't get it... people are a mess.

Is the average person up there an asshole? What kind of nerve does it take to throw your trash in the lake or someone else's land. I don't get it... people are a mess. To me, it's a culture problem. Things were always good no matter what you did, at least up until about 15 years ago. Then the same old self centered behavior quickly started destroying lakes one by one as information moved faster and faster. Now the same guys that used to mob fish every 300 acre lake in the county are now driving 5-6 hours to find a place to continue their old ways. There is no tomorrow when it comes to consideration for wild game in MN.
