all wild? I love the wild stuff raw. Not the whole stock, mainly the upper portion. Yup, all wild. We snap the tough ends off the bottom of the stalks (if there is any) and roast with olive oil and garlic powder

What we did with our first batch of ditch asparagus. Roasted with olive oil for about 12 minutes, then topped with par cooked bacon and asiago cheese. Served along with shrimp scampi. We picked another bunch last night. We'll do the same thing with that batch. We're probably done picking for the year, bugs are starting to hit the spears. [/url

Most of us here aren't coasties, we haven't grown up in Ocean side towns. I wonder what genetically makes us different when it comes to seafood. Is it just if your parents liked it, you like it? I don't think so because I know people that love it but never had it growing up and their parents hate it.
Myself I can't stomach a seafood restaurant, the ammonia smell and the fish odor is enough to end my appetite. I have tried Crab, I can't do it, some shrimp is ok, deep fried in cocktail sauce is pretty good. I like fish frys but you gotta have good tartar sauce.
Now maybe what I've had is bad in general, I've been to NC and seen people eat piles of soft shell crab, I've seen people in Tampa eat oceanside fish, I just can't get into it.
