I like Jimmy John's, but that pickle sandwich sounds bad.

Jimmy johns is the most overrated sandwich place ever. Average food with great marketing, but eventually people will figure it out and they’ll travel the same path as subway.

I like their hunters club with added peppers and oregano. It's one of my favorites.

I'd guess that it's been at least 7 or 8 years since I've had a cold sub sandwich anywhere. Probably a grand total of 4 or 5 since 2012. We did have a warm meatball sandwich from a little Italian place in FL last year. That was tasty

My wife and I split a foot long Subway quite often when we are traveling. We like the Italian Herbs and Cheese bread and the turkey and ham sub.....with most of the veggies they offer and two stripes of mayo. I get 60% of the sammich, and we split a bag of Lay's baked chips. Pretty tasty to me and more healthy than most of the other fast food available.

Ham and bean soup is awesome
I thought you would be eating pheasant 5 days a week living in South Dakota now! How are the rooster and deer numbers out there this year?

Ham and bean soup is awesome I thought you would be eating pheasant 5 days a week living in South Dakota now! How are the rooster and deer numbers out there this year? Don’t have a dog and the roosters are all in thick cover. I’m afraid I’d never find one if I shot it, aside from the occasional yard bird. Deer are around but basically only at night at my place. Progress on my habitat is slow. Growing cover is a lot slower than clearing it. 😊😊 Once the corn is gone there isn’t much cover to speak of for about a mile. I have permission to hunt a couple spots but had shoulder surgery recently so I’ll probably use my 5.56. Bow hunting is out for now and crossbows are not approved.

I did walk a fence line today with my 12 (shoulder would have really felt it), then curved back to my rental house through an overgrown waterway. Lots of corn left by the combine. No birds flushed.

Every time this comment is written, I shake my head and think the person isn't hunting close enough to the bedding aka swamps. Them bucks might only move 50-100 yards before closing time, got to be close to them to see them during the daylight.

Especially with warm weather and I also feel these early antlerless/ youth hunts make deer nocturnal. In non pressured areas, the movement is somewhat different. Where I can find does and even some bucks in low lottery tag areas, the deer just stand and watch the cars. Pressure in short.

"Any deer that I want to shoot that is walking around during daylight up here is already dead," is what I explained to a young hunter a couple of seasons ago who was hunting the high grounds as I was going to the swamps. Pressure.
