Anybody here tried screening using sorgrum-sudan grass? If so, what were your results?

We have done that with a product from Frigid Forage called Plot Screen...with great success. I don't remember the exact mix in plot screen. But the screen was easily 10 feet tall in areas, 12 in some spots.

Stole this from another forum..... FF plot screen is mostly a combination of different sorghums (roughly 85%) with about 5% EW and 10% Sorghum Sudangrass based on the bag label someone shared.

We have used FF plot screen and it works great if you have good prep and give it some nitrogen. The deer will eat it just an FYI if their numbers are high. I didnt think they would. We had some plot screens eaten to the dirt.
We used forage sorghum too one year and liked it.

Been playing around with stand locations inside my rec hole and screening is crucial. I moved this blind 30 yards and the deer come 45 minutes earlier and are no longer spooked from passing cars. Giving the deer a visual barrier from humans (roads/houses) up your odds big time.

Has anyone tried Micanthus in Mn or any other suggestions for a perennial that does a good job of screening?

Has anyone tried Micanthus in Mn or any other suggestions for a perennial that does a good job of screening? It did not survive for me. Stu had some that might have done a bit better, but I was not impressed when I saw it.

Has anyone tried Micanthus in Mn or any other suggestions for a perennial that does a good job of screening? Substitution would be spruce trees or red cedar if you are not into apples.
