When you posted about the target out in the water I wondered what lurked in that pond. What is all in there? Do you own the whole thing? How big and how deep?
What a blast!!!!!!!

No idea how deep it is other than there are parts I can't swim all the way down to the bottom. Crappie, bass, bluegill, sunfish, channel cat, bullhead, and an assortment of other random fish. It's an awesome body of water!

Nice to see open water! Nice fish, also. Thanks on the fish part. It wasn't long ago we were casting past the ice to catch crappie. A few warm days this week and everything is wide open! Probably won't get cold long enough again this yr for it to freeze back up.

Nope, not stocked and no electronics. We have a couple of little boats that we pull out of the weeds sometimes. We usually just put on a life jacket and swim around with a pole and a beer when we feel like getting off the bank.

I don't know if you've followed our house and habit thread, but the lake is THE REASON we built our house where we did. It's pretty nice!

That should be a lesson to all you young kids out there. Don't do like old Buckchaser did, marry the girl who's father has land and a 18 acre stocked pond!
You are one smart sum bitch Cat! Hats off to you my brother!

Them are some nice bass cat. Get a few warm days in the spring and them big ones are hungry! I miss having a pond at my immediate disposal (yours is a lake and not a pond). I used to fish the hell out of my grandfathers, now my folks place. It's just an acre hole of water, but the kids enjoy it now when we can get out there.
I ever hit the lotto I'm finding me a new place to deer hunt.....with a lake!
You got you quite the paradise out there in KS!
