"In regard to the argument that only those arms in existence in the 18th century are protected by the Second Amendment, the United States Supreme Court does not interpret constitutional rights that way. Just as the First Amendment protects modern forms of communications and the Fourth Amendment applies to modern forms of search, the Second Amendment extends, prima facie, to all instruments that constitute bearable arms, even those that were not in existence at the time of the founding. (Scalia, J., joined by Roberts, Ch. J., and Kennedy, Thomas, and Alito, JJ.)"- Supreme Court Decision in Heller vs. District of Columbia
Also in the Heller decision the SCOTUS states that the Second Amendment does “guarantee the individual right to possess and carry weapons in case of confrontation. This meaning is strongly confirmed by the historical background of the Second Amendment. We look to this because it has always been widely understood that the Second Amendment, like the First and Fourth Amendments, codified a pre-existing right
The very text of the Second Amendment implicitly recognizes the pre-existence of the right and declares only that it "shall not be infringed." As we said in United States v. Cruikshank, 92 U.S. 542, 553, 23 L. Ed. 588 (1876), "[t]his is not a rewrite
in·fringe verb \in-ˈfrinj\
: to do something that does not obey or follow (a rule, law, etc.) ( chiefly US )
: to wrongly limit or restrict (something, such as another person's rights)

I bought 3 AR's about a year ago.....when Mills sold off their inventory. I paid about $500 apiece for 'em.....and feel pretty good about those guns. Guns may have gone up a bit recently......but ammo remains fairly priced from what I have seen. The ammo may be a better buy than guns IMO. Good 223 ammo is always of value......and I would expect it could provide more value than a gun under dire circumstances.
Still.....I dont think we are even close to dire circumstance.

Hell yea, shake that fellas hand. Don't you love it when a citizen stands up and gives an honest and truthful account of the situation.
If they want to take away rights they should start with the criminals.

Great speech and so simple! It mirrors what we all say everyday but when you watch the new or listen to the radio you get the impression that it's a forgotten concept. I wish that video would make CNN...
