We spent a day chasing cotton tails this season. Dogs are owned by my cousin and one of his friends. Their tracking collars said the dogs ran about 18 miles on this day. It was a slow start but we finished strong. I found the shed antler right at the end of the hunt. It is a few years old. That buck was still a 6 point last year. Not sure what happened to him this year.

Awesome. Lots of great memories. We used to have beagles when I was in high school. Ran them every chance we got during the winters. Do you have any snowshoe hares or just cottontails?

Only cottontails here.
There is a small area in NE Ohio where snowshoes exist. You can't shoot them. I think they may have introduced them a few years ago.

Reagan,
I guess my cousin took his beagles to my land yesterday and they chased a snowshoe for a while. The hares are at the peak population cycle right now. Tracks everywhere.
